I purchased this item to protect my horse from my long-strong-legs. He’s more of a push ride and I have really strong legs. After a winter clip, he developed rub marks right where the bulk of my calf contacted his barrel. The product works well, here are my notes:– Easy to put on (quick wrap with belly velcro over a nice fuzzy square for comfort contact) – Not noticed by my horse – even the first ride he didn’t seem to notice it was there – Enough girth loops to keep it in place without being bulky or ribby under the leg – Thin enough that it does not impede with contact or spur sensitivity*** The sizing on the website is Small Medium Large – I assumed this would be somewhere along the lines of QH (15hh) Full Horse (16-17hh) and then WB/Draft (17hh ). I ordered a Medium after comparing the sizing to the BellyBand sizing. The box arrived labeled COB and showed options for Pony, Cob, Full. Because my horse is mostly leg and does not have a big barrel for his 16.3hh TB frame, the Cob size works however, beware that the sizing should show Pony, Cob, Full vs Sm/Med/Lrg.
