The Beatles A Hard Day’s Night film A Hard Day’s Night was the first film to star the Merseybeat combo The Beatles. It’s a musical comedy film about thity six hours in the life of the Beatles, who trigger the phenomena of collective hysteria wherever they go. They are going to give a concert on television, and we follow them successively on the train, on the street, in a club, in rehearsal, in concert, usually accompanied by Paul’s grandfather (played by Wilfred Brambell ) who sows discord wherever it goes. The film was directed by Richard Lester and stars Wilfred Brambells, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Wilfrid Brambell and Norman Rossington among its cast.
